Building Emergency Plan (BEP)

The Building Emergency Plan (BEP) project is a two-phased initiative intended to create building-specific response plans both for building occupants as well as internal and external first responders. The first phase is the creation of “building intelligence sheets” that provide emergency responders with details on critical building infrastructure (e.g. gas and sprinkler shut-off valves, hazardous materials storage, etc.) to assist them with responding to any incident in a safe and timely manner. The second phase is the creation of building-specific and hazard-specific plans that are intended to provide occupants and responders with guidelines to follow in the event of an emergency in any building on a Georgetown University campus.
