EMHE Grant
In June of 2009, Georgetown University was awarded an Emergency Management for Higher Education Grant from the U.S. Department of Education in the amount of $549,302. Georgetown’s Office of University Safety championed the effort to win the grant. Over an 18-month period the grant brings with it the chance to strengthen emergency preparedness throughout the university and several sophisticated emergency management training opportunities will emerge for the Georgetown University community.
