Marc Barbiere

Marc Barbiere serves as Director of the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) at Georgetown University (GU). Prior to joining GU in November 2019, he amassed 20-plus years of public safety, emergency management, and public health experience, having served in front-line and leadership roles in New York City, Central Texas, and the National Capital Region.
Marc is a Certified Emergency Manager, has completed the FEMA Emergency Management Advanced Academy, and has a Masters in Public Health from Hunter College, City University of New York.

Natalie Michalak

Natalie Michalak serves as the Emergency Management Specialist for Georgetown University’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM). Prior to joining OEM in May 2020, Natalie specialized in public health emergency preparedness and response as the Emergency Planner for the Prince William Health District. Natalie has completed the FEMA Emergency Management Basic Academy and has earned a bachelor’s degree in Community Health from George Mason University.
